WWO Story:

Wrestlers from the WWE and other promotions are welcome to work at the WWO... Only in the WWO can you seen such an amazing roster of superstars, and it's only online!! The WWO has 3 shows a month, 2 "TV" style shows and 1 "Pay-Per-View" style show.

WWO History & Information:

Back in the early 90's a new Promotion was started called the WWCFF (World Wrestling Championship Fighting Federation), which was later renamed the NWF (National Wrestling Federation).The NWF had some amazing cards but over time the finance of hold contracts with the Superstars became a burden and the NWF disbanded. In 2010 the WWEO (World Wrestling Entertainment Online) was created to offer fans a new WWE product with Superstars from various promotions much like the NWF. But the WWEO was tired directly to the WWE and became too time consuming to the WWE staff. Now the WWO (World Wrestling Online) was create as new wrestling promotion connected to the success of the WWE but separate in the idea that all broadcast shows and Pay-per-views will be seen free, on the internet, and the archives open for all online. The new WWO is owned 51% by Vince McMahon and 49% by a private corporation. The WWE provides Most of the rings, sets, and arena equipment, but a separate crew is used in the production of the WWO shows.

Title were originally decided during the WWEO era, 12 titles were put on the line for the first time. And the winners would be known as the “First” title holder to the respected title won. The loser of the match would be placed as a #1 contender for that title. That same day 1/1/10 was host to the very first WWO produced show of “Raw”.

The WWO had been purchased by Ted DiBiase Sr, but he has since sold his share to a unknown company… Since the WWO uses the old WWE sets you will see many shows and PPV are taped in WWE sets, but some are original. Also various championships have been merged and unified leaving the WWO with only a total of 6 titles (WWO World Title, IC, Tag Team, Woman’s, ECW and Champ of Champ titles).
